Málaga's Expo 2027 candidature to attend Fitur 2023
Málaga’s candidature to host the 2027 World Expo “The Urban Era: towards the Sustainable City” will be present on the city’s stand at Fitur, a meeting point for tourism professionals held in Madrid and which marks the beginning of the year.
This Wednesday, the city will present its candidature to host the 2027 World Expo at its stand at Ifema (Madrid) during the specialist trade fair. The act is part of the candidature’s strategy to participate in all trade fairs, conferences and professional events with similar themes to boost the project's presence, which the city has been working on since 2019.
Furthermore, the Expo 2027 will be a prominent feature of Málaga city’s Fitur stand decoration as the candidature’s logo will be placed in prime locations, such as the space for institutional presentations, the networking room and the totem signs that line the corridor.
THE URBAN ERA: TOWARDS THE SUSTAINABLE CITY
“The Urban Era: towards the Sustainable City” is a proposal that connects with and is based on the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This theme calls for reflection on one of the main challenges facing contemporary society in the medium and long term: making population growth and urban development compatible with environmental protection and the adoption of innovative solutions that guarantee improvements in the quality of life of city dwellers.
More information about the project is available on the candidature’s official website https://expo2027.malaga.eu/en/ and social media accounts.
