The Expo's interactive model open to the public.

he interactive model of the grounds that would host the Expo 2027 Málaga can be visited at Edificio Múltiple de Servicios Municipales, 12 Paseo Antonio Machado from 9 am to 2 pm. This model was shown when the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) delegation visited Málaga last September to assess the Spanish World Expo candidature, titled "The Urban Era: towards the Sustainable City".
The main plot has 25 hectares although a total surface area of 80 hectares would be used, which includes the land to the west and the east of the main plot of land, which will be used for logistics and housing, respectively.
The Expo would be located on a plot of land that is located within the city's productive triangle: adjacent to the University of Málaga, Andalucía's Technological Park, the main business parks, the airport and the Trade Fair and Congress Centre.
"The Urban Era: towards the Sustainable City" is a proposal that connects with and is based on the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This theme calls for reflection on one of the main challenges facing contemporary society in the medium and long term: making population growth and urban development compatible with environmental protection and the adoption of innovative solutions that guarantee improvements in the quality of life of city dwellers.
The Expo 2027 would be held from 5 June until 5 September 2027.
